Two Step Direction
Working on pencil grip and following a two step direction. We use small crayons, making it is easier for the children to grasp. The students are guided to pinch the crayon with their pointer finger and thumb and then let it rest on the second finger.
A sample two step direction
1. Find the "circle"
and
2. Color it "blue"

Practicing Forming Letters
Forming letters is hard work and takes a lot of practice. Here we are working on writing the letters in our names. First, we trace the letters with our fingers and then go over with a crayon using the same motions.

Instruments
Singing and playing musical instruments with some of our 8th grade helpers! Each instrument is used a little bit differently and they all sound so cool! We are learning to take turns and to work together as a group...while creating a good rhythm :)

Exploring A Pumpkin
Exploring the inside of our Fall pumpkin!! We had a chance to cut open a pumpkin to see what was inside. We found seeds and lots of "strings" (pulp). After observing the pumpkin we found out that the stem of a pumpkin is very rough and the outside of the pumpkin is smooth. The inside was "sticky and squishy" and some friends thought it didn't smell good.
