We Have Rhythm

Dancing with colorful streamers and ribbons is a great way to get up and stretch out our bodies. We like to dance and shake our streamers to the "Freeze" song. When the music stops, we have to try and stay still - it's tricky sometimes!

We are musicians!

We recently explored different types of instruments and took turns trying them all out. We played them fast, slow, quiet and really loud!

Pumpkins!

This week was all about pumpkins! We decorated pumpkins to take home and explored the inside and outside of a pumpkin! The outside was hard and smooth and the inside was wet and gooey. We took turns checking out the seeds that were inside and counting them.

Fine Motor Fun

Working in our journals and playing with playdoh is fun, but we are also secretly strengthening our fine motor muscles - the first step in learning how to write!

Color Mixing

After reading the books Mouse Paint and Little Blue and Little Yellow, we did our own color mixing just like in the stories. Instead of using paint brushes, we used our fingers to create some new colors. We started out with red, yellow and blue paint...and we were able to make orange, purple, green and brown by mixing them together!

Watercolor Painting

Notice how focused our little artists are while they are concentrating on trying out the watercolor paints - it was fun to mix the colors!

Cut and Glue

Here we are hard at work, learning how to use scissors and glue sticks! We cut strips of paper and glued them into our journals.

BNG 2020-2021

Our first week at Bloom 'N Grow Preschool was very exciting! We are getting to know our teachers, making new friends, learning our classroom routine and discovering all of the fun things to do at school! This is going to be a very fun year!

Good Morning Preschool Friends!

When your learner first arrives at Bloom 'N Grow, they participate in a table activity that has some connection to our daily plan.  Once all our friends arrive, all the students head to the rug to find their name and picture.  I collect pictures and then we sing this song!  

What's the Weather?

Each morning a friend comes to the front of the room and moves some weather symbols - Windy, Cloudy, Sunny, Rainy or Snowy - to our weather chart. 

Before they make their decision, we sing this song and talk all about the weather! 

There are hand motions that accompany this song - see if your learner remembers them! 

Goodbye Song!
