Finger Painting: Color Mixing

We did our own color mixing after reading the books Mouse Paint and Little Blue and Little Yellow. Instead of using paint brushes, we used our fingers to create some new colors. We started out with red, yellow and blue paint...and we were able to make orange, purple, green and brown by mixing them together!

BNG 2021 - 2022

Our first two weeks at Bloom 'N Grow Preschool have been very exciting! We are getting to know our teachers, making new friends, learning our classroom routine and discovering all of the fun things to do at school! This is going to be a very fun year!

Preschool Aquarium

We have been talking about different types of pets over that past couple of weeks and even shared pictures and stories of our own pets. To end our unit, we created our very own Fish Tank! Each student created two unique, colorful fish to add to the tank and helped to paint the water. They are so excited to point to their fish each time we walk into the hallway!

Hard Workers!

Learning at home

Loving to see our learners working hard and having fun at home, during our time away from school. Check out all of their smiles!

We Have Rhythm

Dancing with colorful streamers and ribbons is a great way to get up and stretch out our bodies. We like to dance and shake our streamers to the "Freeze" song. When the music stops, we have to try and stay still - it's tricky sometimes!

We are musicians!

We recently explored different types of instruments and took turns trying them all out. We played them fast, slow, quiet and really loud!

Pumpkins!

This week was all about pumpkins! We decorated pumpkins to take home and explored the inside and outside of a pumpkin! The outside was hard and smooth and the inside was wet and gooey. We took turns checking out the seeds that were inside and counting them.

Fine Motor Fun

Working in our journals and playing with playdoh is fun, but we are also secretly strengthening our fine motor muscles - the first step in learning how to write!

Watercolor Painting

Notice how focused our little artists are while they are concentrating on trying out the watercolor paints - it was fun to mix the colors!

Cut and Glue

Here we are hard at work, learning how to use scissors and glue sticks! We cut strips of paper and glued them into our journals.
